The directing guide for this student basically starts on a point, with various significant speculations of degree. A portion of the significant advising hypotheses the student will contemplate, in this course, include: old style analysis, singular brain research, explanatory hypothesis, individual focused treatment, levelheaded emotive conduct treatment, existential treatment, arrangement centered treatment, conduct treatment, gestalt treatment, subjective treatment, reality treatment, relational ways to deal with psychotherapy, women's activist treatment, and family frameworks treatment. The student accepts that there will be timeframes with customers, in which one hypothesis will work more viably than another, or even where mixed mixes of at least two speculations are most fitting utilized. On account of occasions such as these, the student assumes, it is basic she be knowledgeable in the essential components of various significant directing hypotheses, so as to give the best help to her future customers, paying little mind to on the off chance that she ends up as of now lined up with just a couple of said speculations. In this way, regardless of whether you end up being a diverse or a solitary hypothesis defender, knowing the significant ways to deal with guiding and psychotherapy is fundamental. Indeed, even eclectics need to know the methodologies from which they obtain. † (Murdock 2009) â€Å"According to Maddi (1996), speculations are implied â€Å"to cultivate comprehension of something up to this point not understood† (Murdock 2009). The student is additionally of the conclusion that advising speculations ought to explain and even conjecture, somewhat, the client’s conduct in order to contribute to the restorative end. The student acknowledges as evident that using at least one perceived directing hypotheses makes the estimate unambiguous and progressively open to evaluation. The client’s trusts, objectives, observations, activities, character, uniqueness, inventive supposition/s about oneself and their issues and mentalities towards treatment will contribute enormously to the hypothesis or speculations utilized. So as to use the client’s hypothesis of progress and to successfully manage the decision of strategy or mix of different treatment models best, the student must be perceptive of the client’s extraordinarily close to home introduction, in hypothetical terms. The customer is really the single, most strong supporter of result in psychotherapy †through the assets they bring into the treatment room and what impacts their lives outside it. † (Andrews 2007) One of the essential reasons customers hypothetically join in and search out advising is to arrive at a remedial objective, substantial outcome, or change that they couldn't achieve all alone. â€Å"All of these speculations endeavor to clarify the way toward helping customers change; they all offer a type of solution for what one individual, the specialist, can do to support the other individual, the customer, who has looked for help. (Murdock 2009) As the student finds the association between learning hypothesis and its’ application in proficient practice, with respect to customer treatment, hypothesis should in time, take on a genuine human encounter, an existence of its’ own, as it were. Advising hypothesis and expert practice should work for her as in a perfect world complimentary accomplices, changing, developing and adjusting, varying, and after some time. The student perceives the advantage and reality that at least one of the advising speculations she embraces will probably be corrected or change in any event once during her calling vocation. As her customer base develops and changes and as she by and by and expertly grows, so will her hypothetical models, structures, suppositions and expectations. â€Å"Theory ought to be applied in a basic manner, with the acknowledgment that different methodologies exist (and are clearly legitimate, as well) and that hypotheses contain inclinations that can be perilous to customers. Additionally, beginning with one great hypothesis doesn't mean you will remain with that hypothesis until the end of time. † (Murdock 2009) For any guiding hypothesis to be successfully applied, the student accepts, a positive partnership with one’s customer is essentially indispensable. So as to adequately use contemplated advising speculations and apply at least one of them effectively, the customer must be ready. â€Å"We now consider our clients’ perspective, their guide of the region, as the deciding ‘theory’ for treatment (Duncan et al. , 1992), coordinating both the goal wanted and the courses of rebuilding, and everything except guaranteeing the experience of a positive partnership. (Duncan, Miller, Sparks 2007) The student comprehends that an open and significant relationship with her customers is so fundamental for any guiding hypothesis or speculations she receives to be adequately used, in proficient advising treatment. The student is obliged, as a future guide, to frame a nearby and earnestly, bona fide association with her customers, through different estimates, for example, undivided attention, inspiring sympathy, empathy, and passing on a practically supreme feeling of acknowledgment of her customers; These measures are basically critical in making a positive union with her customers. In outline, the student has decided she should concentrate many significant directing hypotheses to make her basic guide from which to work from. The student will start the use of the basics of at least one of these speculations and preeminently explore her way on the guide towards a level of reduced mental manifestations in her future customers. â€Å"Good psychotherapy brings about expanded self-comprehension and, at last, can deliver changes in lives that expansion joy. †

Is it Okay to Split an Infinitive Can I start a sentence with And

Is it Okay to Split an Infinitive Can I start a sentence with And The following is some basic writing help that answers your questions about when its okay to split an infinitive, whether to start sentences with “And” or “But,” and whether it’s okay to use a singular “they.” Here are the grammar rules and non-rules that tend to be confusing to many writers (and readers): Is it okay to split an infinitive? Yes, it’s okay to occasionally split an infinitive! But if you can be graceful, it’s better not to split it. “It’s okay to split an infinitive occasionally” would pose a lower risk of annoying your readers than the first sentence above, which, as you may have noticed, contains a split infinitive. Can I start a sentence with And or But? Yes, it’s okay to start sentences with “And” or “But.” But don’t overdo it. Is it okay to use they as a pronoun for one person? I used to be adamant that “they” is not an appropriate reference to a single person! But even I sometimes use it now and allow my clients to use it too. While there are often workarounds for using the singular “they,” they are often awkward. There’s a Can I use “this” without a reference? This is not recommended. The question always to ask yourself (or â€" see #1 â€" to always ask yourself) is, “This WHAT?” and tell us what the WHAT is. Rather than say “This is not recommended,” try “This construction is not recommended.”  Otherwise your readers will not know what “this” refers to. Shall I go into whether it’s okay to end a sentence with a preposition?  Let’s save that one for another day. If you run into any other grammar questions that have you stumped, feel free to ask The Essay Expert. Innovation of New Technology for Amazon and eBay -myassignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about theInnovation of New Technology for Amazon and eBay. Answer: Introduction Incumbents in a business are the individual that looks on the surrounding and offer better services to the customers. It is answerable to all the changes in the market and is primary leading the market place. Until, challenger comes in the market offering the same services as incumbents but with better benefits. For example considering eBay as an incumbent and challenger of eBay is Amazon. Incumbents are holding a place in the market and is been used by the customers but whenever some new company overtakes the market of old company it is called as challenger. Challenger beats the market of incumbent by providing the same services but by offering better options. When challenger overtakes the market incumbents are often overlooked. Challengers create an environment which is better in terms of performance (Scientific Reseach, 2018). In this report we will discuss how challenger replaces the incumbents from the market. As challengers interchanges the customer market by setting a target p rice and rise new opportunity in the market. Disruptive technology is useful for small businesses to make the changes in the way a business is operating so that it grows as a large organisation (Karthikeyan Jonsson, 2016). Incumbents are often beaten by the challengers, who capture the market focus in a short duration of time. Incumbents also try to come up in the market again but due to unavailability of new innovation they lack. Incumbents are already in the market so their name is well known among customers but knowing their drawbacks, challengers overtake the market by serving better products and services (Anthony, 2017). Literature Review In this report considering the example for two well-known companies like Amazon and eBay, where Amazon is treated as a challenger and eBay is an incumbent. Amazon is one of the largest retail companies. It started its business by just selling online books which future got expanded to selling off video, movies, audios, softwares, clothes, accessories, toys and so on (Johnson, 2013). Amazon has successfully beaten eBay as it focuses on customers behaviours by providing them with additional bonus and benefits; because of this the value of market is hiked. Wherein, eBay is an online auction site, who sells its product via showcasing the products online. It is true that challengers can beat incumbents like Amazon crushed the market of eBay. It happens because challengers start their planning at initial stage and work on the area in which incumbents are lacking. They first analysis what services are provided by incumbents in the market so that strategy could be planned accordingly to impro ve the selling budget. Research is the first and foremost step undertaken by challenger as they understand the market, the advantages and disadvantages of the on-going company. So, that better policies could be designed. In case of Amazon, it analysed the market and offered customers to seller their products directly on Amazon without deciding an auction price. In the perception of (Ansari Krop, 2012), eBay lacked the market trust due to some quality issues and scandal act of the products. Amazon worked on this drawback by building trust among customers and selling good quality of products because of this reason market traffic drove towards Amazon. It also enhanced the system by reaching out to customers rather than waiting for the customers to reach out to them. Amazon formed a user friendly platform by providing a good shopping experience to customers as there is ease to access the services as Amazon promises to serve trustworthy products. It was researched in the opinion of (Frankenberger, Weiblen, Gassmann, 2014), it is fact that incumbents are beaten by the challenger like market of eBay has been crushed by Amazon. In todays time Amazon is one of the topmost retail companies and has made a good place in the market by capturing the customers from all sectors. The reason of this success is that it got motivated towards the way to offer services to client at low price in comparison to other incumbents. It focussed on improving the services by reducing the delivery time and resolving the quality issues. Amazon has beaten eBay in terms of customer satisfaction. To overtake eBay market amazon researched on all the plans and redefined it in their own way to beat eBay. It has beaten eBay in terms of customers rating, products available or number of choices available. Like Amazon is chosen by 79% of people as there are wider numbers of options available in terms of products, also 62% of customers choose Amazon because of the customer satisfaction received (Whelan, 2018). EBay is just opted by 9% of customers as number of choices are less and there are issues of fake products. Additionally eBay lack in the market due customer experience as there are no extra benefits provided to them in terms of offers or price. Using these drawbacks challenger (Amazon) redefined the services by planning a new agenda to beat incumbents. According to (Gregg Parthasarathy, 2017), eBay still have the chance to come up again in the market and be stable but it took a wrong direction and was crushed by Amazon. As it stop innovating new products and didnt worked on the customers demand. Amazon worked on this and sold the products at a very nominal price and kept on innovating new products according to the demand of customers (Blade, 2017). EBay stopped working on new ideas and thus failed to adapt to market changes. It only sold the products to retailers who make sure that they will future sell the products in the market and this was the limitation because of which customers lost their interest. As amazon exceled in the market that promises to sell the products in all the sectors which helped to get more target customers. It also made the work from sellers flexible as it assures to write creative the description of the product to be sold, rather than asking seller to write the description. EBay is vanished from the market by Amazon; one of the reason is it stopped manufacturing new goods and kept on selling old products without innovating new products. On the other side as challenger comes new in the market with the motive to make a significant place, creates innovative products and provide offers to customers to grasp their attention. In this case Amazon offered highly automated services to user so customers were required to spend very less amount of time to perform basic functions (Wood, et. al, 2016). EBay still had many un-automated function because of which customers switched from eBay to Amazon. Also the platform was hard to use like it was very difficult to track an item through eBay whereas Amazon updated to users automatically (Nicoli, et. al, 2017). According to (Miguel Casado, 2016),E bay lost the place in the market as it reacted slowly to the changes which were taking place, before amazon customers were comfortable using eBay as there were no other better options available. Emergence of Amazon crushed the market of eBay. One of the major reasons of the failure is, as eBay was a platform for selling goods but they charged on monthly basis from the seller whereas amazon asked seller to pay only when their goods are sold to customers. This increased customers towards Amazon, thus it can be said to beat incumbents challengers often provide better services to customer. Amazon discovered new services for customers like Amazon Prime rollout; it helped in getting more customers to the business. Innovating new ideas is the key success for companys growth (Haucap Heimeshoff, 2014). eBay was limited to offer a marketplace to the customers but it was not flexible for retailers, as retailer need to look for other selling platform. Amazo n identified the need and offered a platform from retailer as well as marketplace. It overtook the customers from eBay by offering additional services needed for fulfilment of business and handling their fulfilment. Innovation is the sole reason that incumbents are beaten by challengers, in this case Amazon kept on launching new services for customers like it stated with selling products via publishing audio, books, videos, movie-streams using digital division that is AWS (Pattie, Hartman, Johnston, 2017). In the view of (Pepper Alves, 2017), eBay is an auction site so the quality of product depends on the seller which cannot be trusted by customers for this case Amazon takes the responsibility about the products sold to the customers so that trust issue is resolved. In case of eBay quality of products were degraded that lost the interest among clients. Amazon resolved the issue of products being scammed thus gathered more customers. Challengers often give the reason to customers why they should choose them instead of incumbents. Similarly, Amazon provided many reasons to customers like offering easier shopping platform, user friendly interface and less time consuming interface. As the products on eBay was sold by fixing an auction price which is a time consuming process thus it cannot be used on a regular basis. Amazon on the other hand offered fast services to users so that user can make the purchase frequently. In the opinion of (McGrath, 2018), old innovators are often beaten by new innovators. This was the reason eBay failed in the market due to the occurrence of Amazon. It lost interest of customers as the feedback from customers was not taken into consideration. Amazon adopted a method to facilitate customers by offering good experience so that they rely on the service for a longer run. When Amazon arrived in the market eBay was somewhere diminished from the market as the competitor offered better services to the customer. New innovative products were launched by Amazon wherein same old products were offered by eBay. The price of product was also a factor that attracted customers. Thus challengers can beat incumbents by offering same services but with better quality or by selling it at lower price (ReseachGate, 2018). EBay being auction site in the market failed as it kept old products on the auction that too with a poor description. Also eBay is operated by third party who connects sel ler and buyer. All the products are sold using third party and they dont have their own inventory section thus the issue of quality occurs. Amazon looks at this issue clearly as it makes every kind of product ensuring the quality is up to mark (Galloway, 2017). Conclusion It can be concluded that incumbents are often crushed by challengers in the market. Challengers often find better ways to engage more customers by delivering better services to user. In this report amazon has gained momentum in the market and have been eBay. Challengers work on the drawbacks of incumbents and design a plan to provide those services which are not offered by incumbents according to the customers need. Amazon offered better trust among people, better trust means more customers this was the reason customers was enhanced towards it. EBay lost the friction from the market due to many reasons which on the other hand gave a boom to amazon as it offered better services among customers. Thus the major shortcomings of incumbents are resolved by challengers; hence they often crush incumbents from the market. References Ansari, S. S., Krop, P. (2012). Acting Stage vs Screen Assignment for The Phantom Essays - Film

Acting: Stage vs Screen Assignment for The Phantom of the Opera You viewed an adaptation for the screen. What do you think are some of the differences between the play version (on stage) and the film version (on screen)? Refer to specific scenes when talking about the movie so we know what part you are talking about. Think about face expressions, body language, volume, makeup, and anything else you think might be done differently between stage and film. Your answer should cover four or more differences and include examples of several scenes. Pretend that the reader might not have viewed the movie when writing about a scene; give details. The adaption from stage to screen is always a struggle especially when the adaption is a musical. It's one of those things where you can't please everyone. If it's too stage-like, it won't appeal to the majority of the audience at all. If it's too different from the stage version, fans of the original will be unhappy. If it's not just the right balance of both, everyone will hate it. Fortunately, the director of The Phantom of the Opera movie probably created the best musical film adaption ever. A first major difference between stage and film is that on screen, actors HAVE to be realistic as their characters. By that I mean, a thirty year old could pass as sixteen-year-old Christine Daae on stage because the audience doesn't see her very closely but on screen, it was necessary to get an actual teenager because the story would not make as much sense if the actor were clearly too old to be dancing in a corps de ballet at the Palais Garnier which is an important part of the character. Another difference is movement and facial expressions. In a stage show like Phantom, there's no reason to be subtle because no one will see it. Any significant movements or expressions have to be seen from the second mezzanine! In screen, it's exactly the opposite. Movements have to appear a little more natural and subtle. For example, during Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Christine has some freedom to be a little more theatrical on stage but in the film, Emmy Rossum chose to not change her expression and to try to convey emotion in a more subte way which is probably a good thing because big theatrical expressions are not very appealing to look at on screen (Sarah Brightman's Phantom videos are proof of that). Similarly, the singing has to be toned down at some parts in the movie. It's fine for Sarah Brightman or Sierra Boggess to belt out the music in a theatre but it's not always so nice to listen to in a movie. In Think of Me, the original cadenza is much higher than what was used in the movie. Some fans of the original show were bothered by this but I thought it was a good choice. I think the average movie-goer would actually be turned off by too much opera-sound. Stage makeup is different from the kind of makeup that is needed for screen. Emmy Rossum had very minimal makeup (or if it was a lot, it didn't appear that way). Not only because Christine needed to appear young and fresh but because that's just how it's done in Hollywood. Makeup should look as natural as possible unless the character needs something different (like Effie from the Hunger Games). However, a Christine on Broadway would have to wear much more so that they won't be washed out by the stage lights and their facial expressions can be seen. She'd have to wear fake eyelashes, eyeliner, eye shadow, lipstick, maybe lip liner, fill in eyebrows, blush, powder foundation, and maybe even some bronzer. This may seem like a lot but it's actually exactly what's necessary for a stage actor to wear. It also may have to do with the fact that if Emmy had to put on more makeup- she'd have all the time in the world to sit in a chair and have it done but a Christine on Broadway doesn't have much time backstage. She's probably busy enough changing her costume, she doesn't have time to change her makeup for each scene too.

Movie Review The Impact of Globalization in the Movie Still, the Children Are Here

Movie Review The Impact of Globalization in the Movie Still, the Children Are Here It is been 6000 years since people decided to cultivate rice. During those centuries, the civilization went thought a number of life-circles, developing the new facilities, values and entertainments. Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Movie Review: The Impact of Globalization in the Movie Still, the Children Are Here specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More However, can we easily say what changed since that time when people in India started their worship? The movie Still, the Children Are Here shows the typical life of one village in the West Garo Hills in North East India. For the people who live there life-circle does not change. Although there are modern technologies, cars, computers and television, people go to space and to a depth of the oceans, the villagers use the same methods as their ancestors. Thereby, it is possible to say that the impact of the civilization on the life of the villagers in the movie is not signifi cant and people are able to save their traditional way of life in spite of the globalization. Cultivation of rise as the way of life is the major idea of the present movie. For this society, the natural order of things in life is only one possible way. Perhaps, they do not know about the historical events, political movements and the fashionable trends. They do not care if their life is fair, rich or socially important. They know that life has to be like that. 6000 years their people go to the fields, grow rice and burn down the trees. It seems that the usual way life will never change. However, the population of the Earth grows too fast. India is one of the most densely populated countries. Rural people feel more influence of the urban life. As the modern civilization needs more space and natural resources, rural people have to share their historical land with the newcomers. The village described in the movie is large. Nevertheless, people who live there cannot maintain the separa ted life. The world around them is changing day by day and they cannot stop this movement. So what solution the villagers can find? Perhaps, they will dissolve in the other population of the country, adopting the new facilities and goods, or maybe they will try to save their way of life? Obviously, this question is complicated and causes the sharp discussions. Someone may say that there is no way to resist the Globalization. On the other hand, someone may claim for necessity of saving the traditional characteristics. In fact, both of them are right. People try to keep the traditional life; however, it is impossible to stop the global processes.Advertising Looking for essay on art and design? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More The essential nature of man in movie is considered as the cooperation with nature within the culture of cultivation. For the villagers, the natural life, food and culture are the main values. In spite of the facilities and technologies that urban people can bring, the rural population needs their simple but own and native things. In general, those villagers are the same as the urban people. They are human-being with the same needs and characters. They can be hard-working, lazy, worry about money; they drink, eat and have the family problems. However, this way is absolutely natural as it was 6000 years ago. In fact, people do not change. And, at the end, when the villagers will unite with other citizens, they will be the same people inside with the same emotions, but the traditions of their ancestors will be lost.

Should the Raelians be accepted or rejected as a true religion Essay

Should the Raelians be accepted or rejected as a true religion - Essay Example Thus it is something that we all humans can be said to have in common. However, there is a great number of varying religions today. Some religions believe in Jesus Christ, others believe in Allah, some believe in other gods and goddesses, and some believe in philosophy. As a social institution, religion is founded by a group of individuals who develop a set of common beliefs and morals as well as practices and reverence for the same things (Breaux, 2008). But what makes a religion a religion? Breaux (2008) identified five sociological characteristics of a religion. These characteristics are very important to the organization and prolongation of the religion. The first characteristic of religion is that it is composed of group of people (Breaux, 2008). In order for a religion to develop and continue, it must be shared by a group of individual that shares common belief, norms, and must be identified as one. The second characteristic of a religion is that there must be certain beliefs t hat make up the structure of the religion and are accepted and embraced by each member of the group (Breaux, 2008). The practices of the group are very important and considered the third important characteristic of a religion (Breaux, 2008). Every religion has patterns of practices that become norms and prescribed rites become rituals (Breaux, 2008).

Eagle's Nest Hotels Case Study - Detailed Implementation Plan Essay

Eagle's Nest Hotels Case Study - Detailed Implementation Plan - Essay Example Some special arrangements need to be made to meet the requirements of the government policy and to fix that an additional cost of US $30 million is required. The original budget was $125 million but that has been reduced to US $75 million. This reduction in our budget is all across the portfolio. How it will affect the operations, let’s take a closure look. Here at our Eagle Nest operations department we have to act accordingly to cope with this challenge. Our plan of action includes budgeting (cost reduction) in the following. The building rented will be hosting a room quantity 120-150 commercial Target Date Even though we are starting the business in January but our target is July to capture the mass tourists market. When they will be coming to visit the Amsterdam Metropolitan in crowds. So we have ample time to get things fully running. Our key areas to focus on are 1) Food production, products purchase technology, menu card planning, supply and consumption control, and occ upational hygiene. 2) Food and Beverage Service (rendering services to clients, wines and beverages purchase, meeting visitors, orders fulfillment) 3) Housekeeping 4) Front office operations (reception and accommodation of visitors and further service rendering). 5) Interior Product description It is a modern fashionable motel in the heart of Amsterdam Metropolitan. ... Key risks and mitigation The key risk that we face is the competition. We don’t need to worry about the reputation or the brand loyalty. There are many huge hotel giants already operating there. Our original budget of $125 million was sufficient to compete with them. But now the budget has been rescheduled. We were aiming for advertisement at a grand level but the budget being reduced has forced us to rethink on that strategy. We will spend very little on TV advertisement. We are taking the route via the internet. Impact on operations Department Just like the other departments, the impact on the operations department will be quite severe. We will be forced to cut down on cost. In terms of percentage, it will be round about 40% of our total original budget. The biggest challenge is to cope with the legal requirements as those cannot be avoided. We are looking for very efficient plans in cost reduction. As we simply cannot compete in such a high profile area such as the Amsterda m Metropolitan without having our arsenal filled with the top quality armoury. Time plan The operations procedure will commence as soon as we get the contract for having the building on rent. Starting with the interior of the hotel. Furniture, china, linen, Kitchen ware, furniture are the major things to get our motel running. Given the area of Amsterdam Metropolitan, we are expecting a very high competition. The key thing to keep in mind is that we cannot start with the state of the art interior and the building outlook. Probably it is very much noticeable at this stage that the budget getting reduced by 40% is very favourable for us. People in the metropolitan area of Amsterdam prefer the culture of that place. Our target guests will include a major percentage of

Contribute To The Development Of Sociology Philosophy Essay

Contribute To The Development Of Sociology Philosophy Essay There are so many events that already happened in past time in human life that gave a lot of contributions in development of sociology. According to thefreediciotnary.com, sociology means is the study of human social behavior, especially the study of the origins, organization, institutions, and development of human society. It also the analysis of a social institution or societal segment as a self-contained entity or in relation to society as a whole. Example of events that gave contribution in development of sociology, the invention of antibiotic in medicine field, invention of computer, invention of lamp, and some related. (Sociology, 2013) Invention of antibiotic are given great contribution in medicine field. Antibiotic is any of a variety of substances, usually obtained from microorganisms that inhibit the growth of or destroy certain other microorganisms. Name of antibiotic come from the word of antibiosis a term coined in years 1889 by Louis Pasteurs pupil Paul Vuillemin. It means life used to destroy another life. (Pearson Education, 2013) How it has help development in the human life? It has help who are get injured and infection of bacterial in the body of human. It is because of it function of broad antibacterial spectrum. It can killed majority of bacteria that has been founded by scientist. Another benefit of antibiotic will be have convenient dosing regimens. It means will not conflicts with other medicine that doctors will give together to patients for treat the patients sickness which caused by bacteria. It has make doctors more easy to open any medicine that can treat the sickness of the patients easily and accurate without hazardless. Besides that, antibiotic has low incidence of gastrointestinal side effects. It has help patients to reduce pains of gastrointestinal side effects whose are must have it. It also help lot of injured people that will not suffer from infection of bacteria. In current, many doctors are rely on antibiotic to treat any bacterial infection case on their patients. (Benefit of antibioti c, 2011) Invention of computer also bring a great contribution to development of sociology in this world. In year of 1983, the first programmable computer was invented by Konrad Zuse. The Z3. Few years later, microcomputers was invented which are more smaller in size and with 256 byte memory on it. Until today, computer has be revolution in so many times and size it become even more smaller than past time. It has consisted some many function and bigger memory which can storages many data and can be perform many functions compare to past time which only limited function that can be operated by the microcomputer. In today, most of us are rely on computer to do things. Such as remote control. It is part of the computer function. We just press whatever function that we desired on the remote control without go to the panel of the machines to press the function that we desired for. It has make human life more easier. Computer also help the human calculate the complex formulation of scientific calcu lation in short period of times. In past time, human used to be calculate using their psychical mind. It using quick long time to finish a complex calculation, not only that it might contain some error mistakes which can led the result become different compare with initially answer. With Invention of the computer, it might reduce the mistakes to the lowest level and it produce the accurate answers within the short period. Hence, human got a lot of benefits from invention of computers, it has change the human behavior that traditionally rely on their psychical ability to perform something compare now they are mostly rely on computer to perform anything that them desired. (Computer History, 2013) Invention of automobile are change lot of human in the life. As we know the first car that has been invented is using steam technology to put the car to move. Second improvement was using electrical method. Later, it change to use gasoline method to led the vehicle for moving around. (Automobile History, 2013) Even in current world, we still use gasoline method in the most of the vehicles in the world. How car has change the society? Firstly it has help people able to travel from one distance to another distance in short of period time. It compare to past time, the vehicles was using horse or cow to move around from one place to another place. It will cost more time to travel on the past time. Now, gasoline vehicles are more convenience and faster. It also become a bad behavior that human going to nearest market to purchase something, they more prefer to drive but nor walk by, although the distance are very short. Besides that, car has change human life become more easier by when you walk in a cold and freeze weather condition, car has heater to keep human body warm. In another word, in cold or freeze weather human still able to travel from one place to destination that them desired. Another benefits is the automobile has function to carry the goods, such as lorry. Last time, we use horse to transport the sand from one place to one place. But, now we use lorry to carry it. It became more faster. More weigh sand than lorry can travel compare to the horse. Horse need time and more foods to spend on. It also long period of time need to be use for horse transport the sand from one place to another place. If without automobile, your family will preferable not travel together will you. Basically, human are lazy to walked. Now, if you have car, and you want to travel somewhere, your family members will prefer to follow you if you invited them. In today, all human are prefer go anywhere by vehicles. It has be part of human behavior that go anywhere must drive together with vehicles. (How has cars change or improve peoples lives?, 2013) Invention of pen drive also has contribute to the development of human (sociology). The first pen drive has been invented by Pua Khein Seng, a Malaysian in nearly year 2000. (INDRAMALAR, 2009) Last time human used to be stored data in paper form. This method are not too environmental friendly. It is because human need to chop off so many trees just to produce one pieces of paper. If termites come and eat the paper which are store the important information, there gone of the important information. Another reason is data stored in paper form will occupied a bigger place to store it. Just imagine that a company store the accounting data into paper form, how big the place they need to be, if the data needed to store at least seven years and above for audition purpose. Few years later, the invented of floppy disc have improved those problems. But, it still has limitation. Floppy disc are big in size, not handy that can be bring to anywhere and the size of storage are lesser. Some more, da ta stored in floppy disc are not reliable. It only allow stored in certain limit time only. With invented of pen drive, the all problems that has mentioned in above has been fixed. How? Pen drive size are small and portable, hence it was easy to been carry to anyway that the user want to. Secondly, usage of pen drive are given human more convenience instead of storage data. A small handy pen drive can store many data as many compare to Floppy disc and also traditional way data printed in paper and filling according rack. Thirdly, it compared with floppy disc, data storage in pen drive will not easily missing compare to floppy disc which would have. It has make human can recheck the data record back into many years in easily in anywhere because the data can store in many years period. Compatibility of pen drive to any pc is the key that change human more prefer to pen drive usage than other method of store their data. Invention of light bulb by Thomas Edison, it has gave great contribution to the human society. In year 1879, he was using lower current electricity, a small carbonized filament, and an improved vacuum inside the globe to invent the light bulb. With those materials, he was able to produce a reliable, long-lasting source of light. Of course, he not try once then able to invent the light bulb. He has try so many time of experiments that he able success to invent the light bulb which we need in today life. (The Inventions of Thomas Edison, 2013) In this aspect, we can see the never give up attitude by Thomas Edison had become a lesson to the scientists that invent more things in our current daily life. The attitude had been influenced our that encourage us never been given up even you has failed so many times for perform something. In another aspect, the light bulb that been invented has become our need in our life. Almost all of us will feel suffer if there is not any light bulb work in our life, especially in night. Last time, we use candle light to light up for our daily usage especially in night. It was quite dangerous if we did not take any safety precaution. It will cause fire and burn out the whole houses. With light bulb, human are more easier that not need to take care so much it, just switch on and off whenever we want or do not want it. Without the light bulb, we cannot drive and even walk on the road. It is because all the street light are made from light bulk. Even the traffic light, we use light bulb to light up red, yellow and green light to indicate the car when to move and when to stop. In the future event, I believe that teleport will gave to great contribution to development of sociology. It will be great if human have it as a technology to transfer the humans from one point of the world into another point of the world. Example, human can use teleport as transportation purpose, from United States to Russia. Of course, there will be security issue on it. Well, I believe security issue can be settled by built customs within the teleports to control the flow of transportation. National Defense might can use teleport to transfer their soldiers to the place they need to go with. Such as, there is any terrorism attack in south of United States. Teleport can help to transfer the backup soldiers immediately to south of United States to defense and protect the terrorism expanding and controlling the situation which their objective are ultimate evil. Teleport also can transfer some important goods for the nation or the country itself. With invention of teleport, human life will change, they not more rely on helicopter to transport the things. They not more rely on airplane to travel from one place to another place. They not more rely on ship to ship something was important for them in cheaper cost. Another future event will bring great contribution to human society development is the space city. As we know, the land on earth are limited. If space city are able to be created, there will be paradise for human to be live there. The reason that paradise means human can be live there without any limitation of the lands. In earth, you have more money do not mean you can own the land, especially in Singapore which has limited resources in land. Secondly, human can learn how to live in space compare to the earth. There are several advantages for human to live in space compared to live in earth. Besides that, human live in space city that can explore more about the secret of the universal. They can go to another planet do some researches which maybe can discover the unlimited resources that can sustain our life. In earth, we have everything is sacred resources, such petroleum, coal, diamond and others related. Maybe in this exploration, we also can discover something is new and important which can gave lot of benefit in our life. Such as, we might discover some new form of energy that can be our electricity supply for unlimited usage and also not pollute the environment too. In space city, human has to live tend to be different compare in earth due to certain psychic reasons. It will change the human behavior, how their behave in normal daily life in space city. Food to be taken in space city will be different also, they might only need to eat a bean in a day which can gave enough energy and nutrition to they in daily life. In conclusion, we can see there are so many events that actually influence human or sociology. It also bring great contribution to sociology, just like today we have light bulb to light up our life in night. Of course, we do not denied there are bad side of the events too.

Literary criticism †feminism

From the very point of creation, God made no difference between man and woman – both of them were humans, created in His own image, who had to reflect the beauty of heavens on the earth and share their love with the Creator and each other. Both Adam and Eve had to work in the Garden of Eden and take care of it.Disregarding the fact that Adam was created first, Eve was made as a helper, suitable for him, as a conscious and responsible personality. In the second chapter of the book of Genesis, we read that God gave all commands to Adam only, so he was responsible to retell them to Eve that she could fully understand the will of God and fulfill the commandments properly. She was made for Adam to help him, and apart from all other creatures, was called â€Å"flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones† (Gen. 2:23); therefore, they both belonged to each other and supplemented each other. Keeping their individuality, Adam and Eve, at the same time, formed a new unity, and this com munity was so self-valuable, that for its sake â€Å"shall a man leave his father and his mother† (Gen. 2:24).On the other hand, we can see the God’s order in the family: God – man – woman. As a leader in the family, Adam, at the same time, was subordinate to God, and both man and woman were subjected to the sovereign power of Almighty God. And only after their fall, the Lord God made a clear distinction between man and woman: â€Å"thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee† (Gen.3:16b). This leading role of man is proven by the fact that Eve had fallen into temptation first, consequently breaking the God’s order on the earth. Yet, man must take the main responsibility. But if the core predestination of man isâ€Å"Literary Criticism – Feminism†work, woman is predetermined to bare children, be a mother, which is bound to pain and sufferings. Being in subordination, which was based on love, the fall of man has shifted it to the dominance of man over woman. But one should remember that it was not a new covenant of God, but rather a direct result of the fall.Since considering first of all the interests of man, who was permitted to have several wives, in the marriage husband had more freedom, comparing to wife. For example, one of the Ten Commandments claims that â€Å"thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife† (Ex. 20:17), for this kind of adultery was interpreted as criminal offence on the property of another man (wife is mentioned in this text between such things as house, ox, servant). Only in Deuteronomy the same text gives wife a separate place in the list of man’s belongings. The consequences for the adultery also differed depending on the social status of woman:death to man found with a married woman;trespass offering for maidservant;marriage or money penalty for a maid.â€Å"Literary Criticism – Feminism†Such strict regulations were called to p revent divorces; yet the adultery was widespread and was mostly noted in Proverbs. The offering of jealousy (offering of memorial) testified about the male privileges: man could demand this offering if he had the slightest, even groundless, suspicion as to his wife’s behavior (water could either cause the curse or not). Men were not subjected to this test.Divorce was also a sole prerogative of man. According to Deuteronomy 24:1, he had the right to divorce with his wife, if â€Å"he hath found some uncleanness in her†. This regulation assumes a number of interpretations: if in the beginning it was enabled only in cases of wife’s bad behavior, then, in the course of time, the bill of divorcement was given to man if his wife caused the slightest displeasure. For her whole life, woman was dependant: first from father, later – from husband, and, finally, – from son, with the exception of widows, whose children were under age. This position primarily gua ranteed her the sense of security. Disregarding the savage customs (Lot, who was eager to give his two daughters to sodomites – Gen. 19:8, Levite, who gave his concubine to the men of the city – Judges 19:24-26) that were caused by the fall, women in Israel had deserving and full life, they were loved and respected by their men (1-Sam. 1:5,8) and children (Ps. 35:14) and were honored with public acknowledgement and praise (Proverbs 5:18, 12:4, 18:22; Eccl. 9:9).In Israel, woman held better position, comparing to other Orient nations. Women and maids of the Old Testament could freely and unconstrainedly take part in social affairs and amenities. Sara, though she called Abram as â€Å"master†, nevertheless, had persuaded him to take a concubine (Gen. 16:1-4). Rebecca had not veiled herself until she met Isaac (Gen. 24:64). Jacob greeted Rachel with a kiss before the shepherds (Gen. 29:11). Women participated in public celebrations, the songs of Miriam, Deborah, an d Hannah (Ex. 15:20, 21;â€Å"Literary Criticism – Feminism†Judges 5 chapter, 1-Samuel 2:1-10) prove the highly developed intellectual faculties. Israeli women of the Old Testament also held official positions, such as the prophetesses Miriam, Huldah and Noadiah, and Deborah, the prophetess, who judged Israel. As a wife, mother and mistress, women are depicted in the most attractable manner. Heathenism cannot show the portrait of the woman that is described in Proverbs, chapter 31. Israel was the first one, who was taught by God to look at mother’s heart, as the likeness of God’s heart: â€Å"can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee† (Is. 49:15). The Law of Israel had lifted woman from that humbled state she was in heathenism. Yet, along with respect and honor, Bible gives us plain call to beware of foolish (Prov. 14:1), brawling, angry (Prov. 2 1:9, 19) and fair women without discretion (Prov. 11:22).First of all, woman was called to carry out duties of mother and mistress of the house. In these issues, man totally relied on her. In the house, woman could work and make decisions independently; she could manage her servants, who could belong directly to her (Gen. 16:1, 6; 29:24, 1-Sam. 25:42). Her primary responsibility was to raise children, at that mother’s covenant was equal to father’s admonitions (Prov. 1:8, 6:20). Women’s wisdom was highly valued and honored (Prov. 14:1, 31:26). Returning to Bethlehem, Naomi had the right to own the property of her husband (Ruth 4:3, 9), just as daughters had a part in father’s inheritance (Numb. 27:1-11), and Shunammite, the widow, was restored her house and field (2 Kings 8:1-6).  In contrast to men, women were not obliged to worship in the tabernacle regularly (Ex. 23:17), however, they brought the instructed sacrifices personally; they participated in celebrations and took portions of offerings. Women from priests’ families could eat offerings of the holy things; women and girls were praising the Lord with their dances and songs (Ex.15:20. Moreover, God gives especial revelations to women: the Lord has revealed the future of her sons to Rebecca – â€Å"two nations are in thy womb †¦ and the elder shall serve the younger† (Gen. 25:22, 23); Manoah’s wife was the first to receive the news about a son – â€Å"and the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman† (Judges 13:3); along with prophets, women were used by God to reveal His will to Israel, Miriam was the first mentioned prophetess, and â€Å"Deborah, a prophetess, she judged Israel† (Judges 4:4).So, analyzing all the texts and the mentioned above, we see that there is no single opinion, regulation and voice in Bible verses, regarding to women. Yet, one text gives us clear explanation to this issue: â€Å"In those days the re was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes† (Judges 21: 25). From human side, we had seen the difference in male attitudes towards women: in some cases that were regarded as property, in others, as humans equal or with the same social rights. Sometimes, they were treated like a thing, but, in contrast, women’s wisdom, beauty, love and meekness are considered as the greatest gifts from God to men.Anyway, in all these texts, it is obvious that â€Å"My thoughts are not your thoughts, nether are your ways My ways, saith the Lord† (Is. 55:8). Due to the fall, thoughts and ways of men were perverted and devil is still making everything possible to make them wickeder; therefore, sinless relations between man and woman were totally changed, but God still looks at them the same way – the way they should be. Angels, sent to women first, prophetess, chosen to tell the will of God, offerings, brought by women – prove that God can use them, just like men, and sometimes, women were holding the same positions, even not taking into account that God is looking at Israel, as to His children, disregarding the gender, as the whole community of children of God. Therefore, the sole contrast between men’s and God’s attitude towards women lies in the notion that the fall of man brought the difference in the world and human’s perception of woman’s role in the society.Works Cited:Holy Bible, King James Version. The No Child Left Behing Act - 1259 Words

Introduction The Bush administration, as well as others, hoped to close achievement gaps and bring all children up to a higher standard. In order to do this, No Child Left Behind (NCLB) was enacted with the hope of an extreme education reform. It requires strict accountability and assessments for schools. This was done without proper funding and expectations that are difficult for schools and students to reach. This act caused many problems in schools rather than fixing the problems that already existed. Policy Formulation The Social Problem Many United States children are failing in the public schooling system. Students are dropping out at alarming rates and those who stay are not properly prepared for college and careers. There are vast achievement gaps leaving children behind that are minorities, come from low income families, are disabled, and are English learning (U.S. Department of Education). These problems are apparent to teachers, parents, students, employers, and society as a whole. This will leave the United States with a workforce that is not properly educated or trained for the jobs available. This ideology that all children regardless of income, minority, or disability should be able to receive a quality education to prepare them for college and careers. One of the biggest causes of this achievement gap is unequal funding.
